01 / PROBLEM
A Fragmented Legacy Experience
Boosters had grown into a fragmented experience across activation, management and purchase flows. The redesign aimed to make the feature easier to discover and use, while reducing friction and giving players more control over activation.
Fragmented Flow / Low Discoverability / Easy to Forget

02 / FLOW
Simplifying The Flow
I mapped the existing experience and restructured the flow around the key actions players needed: understanding available Boosters, activating them and managing what was already active.

03 / EXPLORATION
From Flow To Interaction
With the core flow defined, I explored how activation, Booster types and active states could work within a single interface and tested the interaction through a clickable prototype.

04 / UI EXPLORATION
Shaping The Final Experience
I explored several UI approaches to balance Booster comparison, activation and active states before converging on the final hierarchy.
Card-Based Comparison
Exploring side-by-side Booster levels.

Grouped Activation
Separating basic and improved Boosters.

Refined Hierarchy
Simplifying comparison and activation.

05 / CORE EXPERIENCE
Bringing Everything Together
The final design brought Booster types, availability, activation and active states into one interface while staying consistent with the existing World of Tanks UI.
Available Boosters
Booster types and activation in one place.

Extended System
Personal and Clan Boosters within the same structure.

Active States
Clear feedback for multiple active Boosters and remaining time.

06 / EDGE CASES
Designing Beyond The Happy Path
The system had to remain clear across onboarding, conversion, purchase decisions, unavailable states and different screen resolutions.

07 / VALIDATION
Taking The Design Through Release
I supported the feature beyond design delivery - documenting behavior, validating the experience with UX Lab testing, reviewing implementation and working with development and QA through release.

08 / THE RESULT
A Clearer Booster System
The redesigned experience brought Booster discovery, activation and management into a more cohesive system, with clear states, responsive behavior and support for the edge cases required by a live game.
